Weigh In
Beef weigh in this year will be Saturday, December 2nd from 9am-noon. Weigh in will be at the fair grounds near the show arena, probably in the wash rack. You must be able to walk your steer to and from the scale to be tagged and weighed. If you absolutely can not make this day, please get a hold of us and we will make arrangements to meet you there sometime. Thank you!

Please be aware that all fair participants are asked to sign a Participation Liability Form. This form is suggested by our insurance carrier and helps the fair in keeping the liability insurance premiums down. If you signed up online, you have already agreed to the liability form. If you signed up on paper, you will need to sign one of these forms in order to participate. Please drop off the form at the fair office.![]()

We have been made aware that MDARD once again wants the ability to do animal sickness tracing on animals that are brought to the fairgrounds. Please fill out and print the Animal Registration Form for each animal you are bringing to fair. There is no limitation on species, all animals must have a form on file. The form is fillable and you can type it out on your computer and then only have to change the animal specific information. This form is to be signed by a legal adult, so parents and guardians must sign unless the participant is a legal adult. Everyone please share the word and this email.![]()

4-H Fair wristbands, sponsored by the Newaygo 4-H Council, will be available at $5.00 each to all Newaygo County 4-H youth enrolled between September 1, 2024 and July 1, 2025 for the 2024-2025 4-H year. Fair wristbands will allow 4-H youth to enter grandstands events free of charge during the Newaygo County Agricultural Fair! 🍀
Thanks to the generous support of Family Farm and Home and our valued sponsors, each beef breeding exhibitor will receive a complimentary neck tie at the fair this year!!!! These ties will be retained by the beef breeding department for future use 🙂 I will distribute them in the stalls Friday night before the fair begins and collect them Saturday after haul out.
