Hello all critter families,
In anticipation of a great week at fair, we’ve come up with some traffic plans for animal drop offs. Below are a list of maps that we created to help ease the burden of drop offs. Please follow the arrows for your species. We understand that there is some cross traffic as we maintain our American standard of driving on the right hand side of the road. This will be a test of your patience and courtesies. Please keep the two way traffic plan intact as you enter and exit the drop zones. If you are parking your trailer on the grounds, Kim and her helpers will be in the trailer parking area to assist you. We have worked hard to keep the trailers close to the barns, trying to maintain safety and convenience at the same time (which is a monumental task). Trailers will be parked tightly, Tetris style.
In order to keep the traffic moving, please try to be as quick as possible in the drop zone. When you pack your trailer put your supplies in the front and critters in the back. This way you can pen your animal in the barn, park your trailer, then bring supplies up to your barn. If your trailer is not staying on the grounds, please try to pack in modules instead of a bunch of loose items. One tack bucket/trunk unloads faster than one item at a time.
The parking ropes will already be installed in the parking areas. Traffic through there will be limited to north/south travel only. You will not be able to cut through the parking area going east/west. No trailers are allowed to stop/park in the parking areas. There is a designated area for trailer parking.
Once we get through the Saturday chaos, the week will be much easier with traffic. Thank you for your help in mastering this traffic nightmare.
See you on Saturday!
Below are the maps of how you will enter, unload spots, and how to exit the grounds.
